'Losé'

Gamay & Blaufränkisch, Niagara, Canada

In these trying times, we could all stand to live a lil harder, laugh a lil louder and LOSÉ the day away! A new vintage of our Ontario House line, this locally focused project allows us to collaborate with our favourite producers hell-bent on bringing delicious, well-made and well-priced wines to your table! The rosé of the year – yes, we are calling it – ‘Losé’ was made with Paradise Grapevine and is a blend of berried n’ beautiful gamay (80%) and spiced, tart blaufränkisch (20%) from two sites – the now very familiar Willms Vineyard in Four Mile Creek, and the Reuther Vineyard from around the corner. Most of the gamay and all of the blau was made as rosé, picked early and destemmed into the press before a light pressing. FUN FACT! We blended together in March and at Lo’s request to make it extra ‘juicy', Paradise added a barrel of red gamay which was fermented whole-cluster (stems included) and aged in used oak! Strawberry shake, basil lemonade, malleable tannins, kiwi snow cone & escarpment minerality. Is anything better from pancake breakfasts to hamburger dinners? #NOWAYLOSÉ!
