Lambrusco di Castelvetro'

Lambrusco di Castelvetro'

Lambrusco Graspaross, Emilia-Romagna, Italy

A Lambrusco like a quick and witty roulette gambler, always betting it all on RED, and allllllways winning. Marco Zanasi took over his family estate (started by his father after WWII) and is farming organically and with some serious verve. Made entirely of the deep n’ dark Grasparossa (red-stemmed) grape variety of Lambrusco, coming from 30 year old vines grown on clay soils. Fermented in stainless steel with skins for five-six days, then held at low temperature and only bottled upon demand to preserve freshness. Frothy cherry cola, single red rose, chewy orange peel, herby-boysenberry-cough-drop & subtle minerality. Drink while jiving to the Bee Gees discography, but accidentally playing More than a Woman and Stayin’ Alive on repeat many, many times.
