‘Chat Fou’
Grenache, Cinsault, Viogner, Clairette, Chasselas, Rhône Valley, France
Curious and surprising, fit for a wonky Wednesday night in November. A red-white blend of organic grapes grown on granitic soils in the South of France. ‘Chat Fou’ is mainly dominated by herbaceous Grenache and punchy red fruit of Cinsault, but hoisted up by the perfume of Viogner, acid of Clairette & versatility of Chasselas. Tart cherry, musty tobacco, stewed plum, peppery water crackers, dry oregano & wild loganberries. Drink with your nine adopted senior cats, while knitting them each a hat constructed of their own hair.
