Canuco Tinto'

Field Blend, Douro, Portugal 

‘Canuco’ means "small child" in Portuguese. While this wine is not recommended for small children (!!), it’s high-elevation, young vines are full of fresh & youthful energy. Pormenor is always looking to work with minimal intervention in the cellar and show off the elegance that the Douro region is all about. Made with a blend of local grapes including perfumed touriga franca, light n’ juicy tinta barroca, strawberried tinta rorriz, rare-beauty tinta amarella & tannin-dense alicante bouschet. Everything is aged for a year in stainless steel to maintain the natural verve & brightness of the blend. Red plum, violet + rose, smoked tea leaf, mulberries, black cherries & round tannins – like licking petals. Try with mushroom katsu and checking in with your inner child!
