Cinsault'
Cinsault, Languedoc, France
Look no further for the simple joys of a juicy, medium red with a touch of spice â it's nice! An unusual varietal wine from the south of France, this Cinsault has lots of charming, plummy depth without the heavy tannins, a real easy-drinking pleasure that can chat anyone up with its gift of the gab. Destemmed and fermented in tank for three week, this goes down real easy, almost like a spicy Beaujolais with notes of boysenberry filling, pomegranate molasses and wild blueberry compote with a sprig of rosemary, some cinnamon hearts and a healthy crack of pepper. Leave one by the door like an umbrella, just in case.
