A mineral, honeyed and RARE Chinon chenin for you classic collectors! 15th generation winemaker Rodolphe Raffault works his familyâs 50, organically farmed hectares of vines across Chinon. Rodolphe works the soils minimally, plants grasses between the vines and makes use of sweet horses where applicable in place of machinery. FUN FACT! Only 2% of Chinon is planted to white grapes! The chenin comes mostly from the chalky, limestone-clay soils of the commune of Ligre, and was fermented in stainless steel to keep the expression cool and honest. Orange blossom, flint, pears drizzled with honey, white melon, lemon oil, lime zest & a chalky, salty minerality. Enjoy alongside salmon done your favourite way.Â
