A complex, charming and churned Chablis of legends. Château de Béru has been operational for over 400 years(!). Located on the southern escarpment of the Béru Valley, their wines pull from the famed Kimmeridgian soil (think high limestone content and fossilized marine organisms galore), and represent the region’s signature minerality with a rich aura to back it up. Today the domaine is managed by mother and daughter team Laurence and Athénaïs, who carefully tend the prized land with biodynamic and organic methods, horse plowing and hand harvesting. FUN FACT! This blend combines various parcels from the domain that share the same altitude! Chardonnay from five parcels, all planted in the 1980s, is slowly pressed, and matured for 18 months on fine lees to infuse texture and aromatics. Churning salted butter, lemon zest, juice and pith, pear slivers, flying flint, honeycomb, sea glass & 1000 nautical miles of minerality. Pour alongside crustaceans, chaise lounges & Casablanca viewings.
