'Anjou Blanc'
Chenin Blanc, Loire Valley, France
Like proudly carrying around a hefty but engrossing 700-page novel, this stunning, texture-rich Chenin from Anjou vigneron Pascal Biotteau reads easy-breezy despite (or in spite of!) its terribly sophisticated complexity. Anjou Chenin has this mineral-laden richness to it that can either be a simple satisfaction or an all-out intensive study, and nicely enough, thatâs the whole idea here! Sourced from two different topographies â that bring zesty acidity and flinty, mouth-coating richness â this is the best of both worlds, aged in stainless steel for no-nonsense freshness. Gauzy white silk, golden apple, pear drop, mother-of-pearl oyster knife & a big white marble slab. Would absolutely adore a creamy white sauce, milk-poached cod or ooh, fettucine alfredo. Yes!
