‘Tout Naturellement'

‘Tout Naturellement'

Sylvaner, Pinot Blanc, Auxerrois, Pinot Gris, Alsace, France

A glamorously aromatic, Alsatian dynasty kinda white. Mathilde and Florian Beck-Hartweg are gifted young winemakers practicing organic farming in a tiny, medieval-looking town. FUN FACT! Beck-Hartweg is one of the historic domaines of Alsace, tracing their lineage back to the early 16th century! A blend of 80% herbaceous sylvaner and creamy-fruited pinot blanc, with 10% acid-flaunting auxerrois and aromatic pinot gris. Harvested from sandy-silt soil and pressed without crushing to keep juice free and clear of any bitter extraction, this lush beauty is then raised in old oak casks for 8-10 months wrapping around their own finger. Apples dunked in honey, sopping wet minerals, dandelion plume and weedy greens, salty ginger-beer, echoes of limeade acidity, baby’s breath in a glass vase on a dense, overcast afternoon. Enjoy with crisp evenings reading anything by Jim Harrison.
