2016 '5 Sens'

Arbanne, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Champagne, France

Like sipping on a celestial breakfast buffet. Located in Riceys, halfway between Burgundy and Champagne, Marie and Olivier Horiot have been making wine since 1999, known for their ultra-rare rosĂ©s from the minuscule RosĂ© des Riceys appellation & incredibly evocative Champagnes, said to be the favourite of US! FUN FACT! They are one of the few/only winemakers in Champagne that make more still wine than sparkling! A saintly single vintage blend of five barrels, five terroirs & five grape varieties – including old vines of arbanne, pinot blanc, pinot meunier, pinot noir & chardonnay. Produced only in truly exceptional years of grape giving. Gingery-spice, layers of fresh cut flowers, yarrow, red mulberries & heavy cream + blonde coffee + maple syrup. Descend into this chasmic embrace & watch yourself fall in love to the tune of its incredibly long, saline finish.
